While SIAS Research is affiliated with SIAS, the focus between our 2 organizations is different.
SIAS is a non-profit organization committed to investor education and acts as a watchdog of investor rights against corporations falling short of good Corporate Governance practices.
SIAS Research on the other hand was created by SIAS and is an independent research house that focuses on providing objective, reliable and professional research on Singapore listed companies on the Singapore Stock Exchange. 3. What does it mean that SIAS Research is an Independent research house in Singapore?
As an independent research house, SIAS Research is not affiliated in any way to any brokerage firm or corporate finance company. This independence ensures that our reports are objective, honest and accurate.
We are currently also the only independent research house in Singapore.
1. Why should I pay to subscribe to SIAS Research when I can obtain research reports from my banks or from brokerage firms?
SIAS Research’s focus is on small to mid cap stocks whereas other research houses traditionally focus on the bigger cap stocks. Our strategy is to bring to the fore the large number of under-researched “gems” to our members.
Moreover, banks or brokerage firms may send regular research reports but these are indirectly funded by your relationship with them in the form of administrative or transaction fees for example. SIAS Research however charges a flat annual fee that entitles members unlimited access to all our research material for the duration of the membership.
